Jesse Ricke

I've been making music for about a decade, beginning with improvisational music and studies in jazz performance at FIU and then moving into independent genres. Right now I'm creating a body of solo work, recording with my current band, and keeping up on my jazz studies. In August I'm moving to New York for graduate school in Media Studies at The New School. As a part of my graduate studies I will create benefit art products for New York non-profits, including music compilations, prints, and events. Past projects include: The Fertile Compilation, a cd compilation of Tallahassee music, art, and poetry; Subterranea, a Mexico based alt rock outfit; the Ums, a joyful, catchy Tallahassee quartet, and it's current embodiment The Figidaires
